Fidel Castro is showcasing a theory long popular both among the far left and far right: that the shadowy Bilderberg Group has become a kind of global government, controlling not only international politics and economics, but even culture.
The 84-year-old former Cuban president published an article Wednesday that used three of the only eight pages in the Communist Party newspaper Granma to quote — largely verbatim — from a 2006 book by Lithuanian-born writer Daniel Estulin.
Estulin’s work, “The Secrets of the Bilderberg Club,” argues that the international group largely runs the world. It has held a secretive annual forum of prominent politicians, thinkers and businessmen since it was founded in 1954 at the Bilderberg Hotel in Holland.

More than 28,000 people have been killed in drug cartel-related violence, according to data newly released by the Mexican national intelligence service, since Calderon launched the offensive against drug trafficking shortly after taking office in December 2006.
“If the government were to stop fighting the criminals, there are those who think this would end the violence. I doubt it,” Calderon said. “But are you really saying to me, Mr. President, don’t mess with the criminals and let them just take away the Mexican people?”
Calderon for the first time said he would welcome a debate on whether drugs should be legalized, a controversial and politically fraught topic. On Tuesday, several participants in the conference urged legalization. Calderon warned that such a measure could endanger Mexican youth by making harmful drugs even more available.
I can see the logic behind this, but the only problem I see is a flock of tourist going to Mexico just because of this, and with that happening they make themselves targets for kidnappings.

Black-clad demonstrators broke off from a crowd of peaceful demonstrators protesting the G-20 global economic summit in Toronto, torching police cruisers and smashing windows with baseball bats and hammers.
Police with shields and clubs earlier pushed back another small group of demonstrators who tried to head south toward the security fence surrounding the perimeter of the Group of 20 summit site. Some demonstrators hurled bottles at police.

President Obama’s commencement speech Sunday at Hampton University caused a little stir in tech circles after he took a swipe at some of our favorite toys — “iPods and iPads and PlayStations and Xboxes” — for turning “information” into a “distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment.” Oh, and he admitted that he doesn’t know how to make any of them “work,” either. Shocking!
Guess dude really isn’t into that type of stuff, can’t blame him, he’s the fucking president! I’m pretty sure he has more important shit to do, like running a country! I don’t usually agree with the man, but he does have a pretty valid point and I love my video games!
Obama responds to “Dick riding Obama” after the jump!

If none of you remember, 10 years ago there was all this ruckus when a little 6 year old Cuban was found floating on a rubber tube on the coast of Florida. His mother’s family tried to get custody but the commies over in Cuba weren’t having any of that so in true American fashion they seized and retrieved the little 6 year old Cuban and sent him packing. Since being sent back to Cuba, what was once a symbol of hope and freedom for all Cuban Americans has now been turned into a propoganda tool.
If Elian had been granted asylum, today he would be a teenager preparing to go to college with every opportunity for success ahead of him. Instead, on the cusp of adulthood, Elian poses for propaganda photos sandwiched between Cuban army soldiers attending the Union of Young Communists congress in Havana…The youthful Gonzalez should have been wrapped in the America flag. Instead a boy who once represented the quest for the God given right to be free, waves a Cuban flag symbolizing poverty, oppression, authoritarianism and misinformation.
